• Collect, receive, label, and process patient specimens such as blood, urine, and other clinical samples.
• Perform laboratory tests and investigations accurately as per standard procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
• Ensure proper sample identification, handling, storage, and disposal.
• Record test results accurately and maintain laboratory documentation.
• Perform quality control procedures and report any abnormal or inconsistent results to the concerned senior.
• Maintain adequate stock of reagents, consumables, and other laboratory supplies.
• Monitor expiry dates and storage conditions of reagents and laboratory materials.
• Follow infection control, biomedical waste management, and laboratory safety protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory and equipment.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, reception, and other departments regarding investigations and reports.
• Assist in urgent/emergency investigations and ensure timely reporting of results.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle laboratory records responsibly.
• Participate in internal audits, quality improvement activities, and accreditation-related requirements.
