Position Summary
Assist with the logistics and implementation of the Children's Gardening Program at the Edible Academy.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist supervisors and educators in preparing for, facilitating, and cleaning up the Children’s Gardening Program.
- Promote positive interactions amongst program participants.
- Aid in logistics and safety requirements during program sessions.
- Assist with general horticultural tasks in the garden plots with the participants, and maintain an organized work area, including care of garden tools and enrichment activity supplies.
- Assist supervisors and educators with check in and check out procedures.
- Mentor Super Crafters during reflection meetings.

Qualifications
- Applicant should have an interest in gardening and teaching, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Applicants must be professional, mature, and enthusiastic attitude is essential.

Physical Demand & Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to, at minimum,
- Work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Work under low, moderate, or loud work conditions.
- Be comfortable using a variety of garden and kitchen tools.
- Be comfortable working with enthusiastic and excited children.

Work Schedule
- This is temporary part time role, with an anticipated start date in September 2026 through November 2027
- The standard schedule is Saturday 8 AM to 1 PM
