NATEX AI
Customer Acquisition and Publicity Intern at NATEX AI in Remote
Job Description
Note: This role is listed as Co-Founder due to Wellfound's platform requirements for commission-based compensation. This is an internship position, see details below.
Company Description
NATEX AI, Inc. develops purpose-built AI products for small and mid-size businesses in professional service industries. Unlike general-purpose AI tools adapted to fit existing workflows, each NATEX product is built from the ground up for a specific industry and a specific problem. The company's two live platforms serve electrical subcontractors and independent medical practices, delivering analytical capabilities that were historically available only to large enterprises — without the complexity or cost that comes with them. NATEX operates as a small, founder-led team where every contributor works directly on things that matter.
Role Description
The Customer Acquisition and Publicity Intern will support NATEX AI's growth across two distinct tracks. On the acquisition side, responsibilities include building targeted prospect lists of electrical contractors and medical practice administrators, researching individual prospects to support outreach, tracking response patterns, and identifying opportunities to improve conversion. On the publicity side, the intern will research and book podcast appearances for the founders, identify journalists and media outlets covering AI and small business, develop pitches and angles for press coverage, and surface association and industry channels relevant to NATEX's markets.
This role is commission-based with no base salary. Compensation is earned through direct customer acquisition at 10% of first-year MRR per client. This is a fully remote, part-time role of approximately 10 to 15 hours per week with a flexible, self-directed schedule. The intern will work closely with the founding team. US-based applicants only.
Qualifications
Genuine interest in AI and technology, with enough comfort to understand and explain technical products to a professional business audience. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and direct outreach, pitches, and marketing content across email and other channels. Demonstrated ability to research independently and develop original angles without significant direction. Experience or genuine interest in B2B outreach, public relations, journalism, or sales is a meaningful advantage. A background in marketing, communications, business, or a technical field with strong writing ability is preferred. Demonstrated interest in professional services industries - healthcare, construction, or similar - is beneficial.
