Occupational Therapist at Mediix in Melbourne, Victoria, AU

We’re working with a Melbourne-based private practice that has taken a different approach: instead of fitting you into a pre-set role, they build the role around how you like to work best.

What that means in practice

• Prefer clinic-based work? You can keep your week mostly in one place
• Enjoy a mix? Add community work gradually
• Like paediatrics? You can lean into that
• Prefer adults / functional work? That can be your focus

There’s no pressure to “do it all” unless that’s what you want.

The day-to-day

• A steady, well-paced caseload (not overbooked)
• Time built into your schedule for notes and planning
• Support available, without constant check-ins or micromanagement
• A team that shares knowledge but respects your independence

What you won’t find here

• Unrealistic KPIs
• Back-to-back appointments all day
• A revolving door of staff

Who this suits

• An OT who wants more control over their work style
• Someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships
• Clinicians who value consistency, but still want flexibility

Essentials

• AHPRA registration
• Open to early career or experienced OTs

What’s on offer

• Competitive salary + flexibility around how you structure your week
• Professional development support tailored to your interests
• A stable clinic with a strong local reputation
• Long-term growth without pressure to move into management

If you've been thinking about finding a role that feels a bit more yours, rather than stepping into something already predefined, we'd be happy to talk you through it confidentially. Please reach out to Camille at camille@mediix.com.au.
