The Associate Biomed Technician position focuses on performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on biomedical equipment while maintaining compliance with applicable standards and promoting a patient-centric culture.
Responsibilities:
- Performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on various biomedical equipment
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe service environment
- Meeting individual and departmental productivity goals
- Managing inventory processes and utility technician responsibilities
- Communicating professionally with vendors and customers to resolve issues
- Maintaining compliance with all applicable standards, SOPs, and work instructions
- Learning and utilizing biomedical systems like OneTrack and various device testing software
- Upholding McKesson's i2Care and iLead principles
- Promoting a customer and patient-centric culture
Required Qualifications:
- 0-1 years of related experience (entry-level position)
- Good decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- Biomedical Associates Degree
- Healthcare technology management degree
- Biomedical-related military experience
- Vocational certification from an Accredited Certificate Program
- Experience in medical device repair
- Experience with biomedical programming/use
- Prior work experience in the biomedical field
