Summary: Mayo Clinic Rochester is a leading healthcare organization, and they are seeking a Graduate Intern to support Education Research. The primary purpose of this internship is to provide relevant field experiences and learning opportunities in the chosen field of study. Responsibilities: - Observe the functions and processes of the assigned work unit - Complete all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility Required Qualifications: - Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program (master's or doctoral level) at an accredited university in the United States - A minimum GPA of 3.6 is required - Applicants must demonstrate strong training or applied experience in research methods, with evidence of competence in quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, and/or mixed methods research - Candidates should have completed graduate-level coursework and/or substantial research experience in one or more of the following fields: education, psychology, sociology, statistics/biostatistics, public health, data science, health sciences, or other social and behavioral sciences - Applicants must provide documented evidence of methodological competence, which may include peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, research reports, methodological training, teaching or instructional experience in research methods, or strong letters of recommendation attesting to analytical skills - Candidates must be able to commit 15–20 hours per week to research activities, maintain a consistent weekly work schedule, and demonstrate excellent academic writing and professional communication skills - Must have authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorship now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee or asylee) Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced expertise in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods research - Experience conducting independent or collaborative research projects, including data collection, data management, and analysis - Proficiency with relevant research and analytic software, such as R, Stata, SPSS, Python, SQL, Excel, Qualtrics, MAXQDA, NVivo, or Dedoose - Scholarly productivity, including conference presentations, manuscripts in preparation or under review, or peer-reviewed publications - Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team Required Skills: Research methods, Quantitative analysis, Qualitative analysis, Data science Important Skills: Statistical software Nice-to-Have Skills: Academic writing, Collaborative research
