Summary: Martine Law is a rapidly growing law firm focused on criminal defense and family law. The Associate Attorney will represent criminal defense clients in court, draft motions, conduct legal research, develop defense strategies, negotiate with prosecutors, and maintain client-focused communication.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients at arraignments, motions, contested hearings, and trials
- Draft persuasive motions and constitutional arguments
- Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies
- Negotiate with prosecutors for dismissals and favorable resolutions
- Maintain strong, client-first communication during high-stress situations
Required Qualifications:
- • J.D. and an active Minnesota law license in good standing
- • 0–3 years of criminal law experience (internships, clerkships, or public defender experience welcomed)
- • Strong courtroom presence and litigation mindset
- • Excellent writing and negotiation skills
- • High emotional intelligence and client advocacy focus
- • Strong, highly proficient technical skills
