The Chemistry Lab intern/co-op will support analytical and research activities, process optimization, and data analysis across various business units. Responsibilities: - The Chemistry Lab intern/co-op will work to provide analytical, research, process optimization, data analysis, and environmental support to various business units throughout Marathon Petroleum Corporation and its affiliates - The intern will support these activities through special project work, day-to-day laboratory and field activities, and exposure to a variety of analytical techniques and methodologies (i.e. gas chromatography, wet chemistry, x-ray, data analytics, etc.) - The special project work may meet the student’s capstone requirement Required Qualifications: - Enrollment in a degree seeking program majoring in science or a related field is required; Chemistry major preferred (undergraduate or graduate studies) - Strong academic performance - Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program - Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future - A valid driver's license is required Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications is preferred Required Skills: Chemistry, Data analysis, Analytical techniques Important Skills: Microsoft 365 Nice-to-Have Skills: academic performance Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Access to health, vision, and dental insurance, Paid time off, 401k matching program, Paid parental leave, Educational reimbursement, Discretionary company-sponsored annual bonus program
