Job Description

Position: Business Analyst w Entertainment-New York, NY-#Star230855

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 12 + Months

Face to face interview required

       The project:

•      A multi year project to migrate a global Music Publishing Administration system from IBM iSeries to a PaaS (Platform as a Service) Cloud platform
  
                      The job description:
  

•      Gather business requirements, functionalities from business Subject Matter Experts and translate that into a system design, Agile Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  

•      Provide guidance and coach the business Subject Matter Experts in writing clear and complete User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  

•      Work with the Product Owner to maintain the Scrum Backlog entries in priority order
  

•      Collaborate with the Architect and the development team to produce System Design, Data Model and UI/UX; create technical stories to support the system requirements
  

•      Provide clarifications to the entire team as a Product Owner Peer when Product Owner is not available or facilitate clarification from Business SME
  

•      Place the backlog items into Sprints in the most efficient way in order to deliver product on time with maximum delivery within a specific amount of time
  

•      Assist Scrum Master in working with multiple cross-functional team in coordinating dependencies delivery and raised issues that will cause a road block
  

•      Provide assistance in quarterly roadmap re-assessment
  

Qualifications

•      Proven track record as a Business Analyst in various projects
  

•      Prior experience as Business Analyst of a medium to large scale multi-year project
  

•      Experience in system conversion project to a new platform
  

•      Scrum/Agile practitioner
  

•      Excellent oral and written communication skill
  

•      Ability to gather requirements from business Subject Matter Experts locally or remotely using audio/video conference
  

•      Have worked with off-shore development team and able to convey detail requirements and answer queries from the developers
  

•      Domain knowledge of music publishing business is a plus
