Sales Analyst & Support role - Dairy… at Livestock… · Christchu…

LIC is a farmer-owned co-operative that’s been supporting herd improvement in New Zealand’s dairy sector for more than 115 years. We’re focused on providing superior genetics, reliable testing and diagnostics, integrated on-farm software, and great customer service, all designed to help farmers make smarter decisions every day.

As a proud generational co-operative, we’re here for farmers, their families, and rural communities, not just for today, but for the future. And none of it happens without our people. Whether on farm, in the lab, or behind the scenes, every one of us plays a part in helping New Zealand farmers succeed.

About the Role:

As a Herd Improvement Support, you'll play a key role in supporting LIC's customer-facing teams to deliver outstanding herd improvement outcomes for New Zealand farmers. Working within our NZ Markets team and reporting to the Senior Agri Manager, you'll provide analytical, operational and customer support that helps our Territory Managers, Agri Managers and Herd Improvement Leads spend more time where it matters most, alongside customers.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll prepare herd reports and insights, support customer accounts, coordinate seasonal activities, provide MINDA assistance, and work closely with teams across LIC to ensure customers receive timely, high-quality service.

If you enjoy analysing information, building strong customer relationships and helping farmers get the most from their herd performance, this could be the opportunity for you.

Your Key Focus:

• Prepare herd reports, benchmarking and performance insights that support customer discussions and decision-making.

• Identify trends and opportunities within herd data to help customers improve outcomes.

• Support the delivery of LIC's herd improvement programmes and solutions.

• Act as an additional point of contact for customers, responding to enquiries and providing exceptional service.

• Maintain strong customer relationships while resolving or escalating issues as required.

• Coordinate herd improvement activities and seasonal work programmes across the region.

• Support campaigns, initiatives and product ordering activities.

• Ensure customer records and documentation remain accurate and up to date.

• Provide MINDA support and training, helping customers maximise the value of LIC's systems and tools.

• Collaborate closely with Territory Managers, Agri Managers, Herd Improvement Leads and operational teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

What You'll Bring...

• An understanding of dairy farming systems and herd improvement principles.

• Strong customer relationship and customer service skills.

• Confidence analysing information and turning data into meaningful insights.

• Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience using MINDA and other LIC systems would be advantageous.

• Previous experience in the dairy industry, customer support, administration or account management would be beneficial.

In Return:

In addition to a competitive salary, you'll receive some great benefits including:

• Extra leave days

• Flexible working options

• Discounted health, life, income and disability insurances

• Access to our employee shares scheme

• Wellbeing discounts

• Free onsite parking

This is an excellent opportunity to combine your passion for the dairy sector with customer support and data-driven problem solving, while helping New Zealand farmers achieve better herd performance and productivity through LIC's industry-leading solutions.
