Kitchen Hand | Part-Time | Burleigh Heads 19 Hours Per Week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday | 4.75 Hours Per Day $36 - $39 per Hour + Super + Salary Packaging Join a Great Team. Make a Difference Every Day. Looking for a part-time kitchen role with great pay, consistent hours, and a supportive team? Lives Lived Well is seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand to join our team at Mirikai, one of Queensland's leading residential alcohol and other drug treatment services. Based in beautiful Burleigh Heads, you'll play an important role in supporting residents on their recovery journey by helping provide nutritious meals in a clean, safe and welcoming environment. Working closely with our Food Services Coordinator, you'll assist with meal preparation, food service, stock management, kitchen cleaning, and food safety while contributing to a positive experience for residents and staff. About the Role As a Kitchen Hand, you'll support the smooth day-to-day operation of our kitchen by:
Assisting with meal preparation and food service Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen equipment Receiving and storing deliveries Monitoring stock levels and rotating stock Following food safety and hygiene requirements Supporting residents participating in kitchen activities as part of their recovery program Working collaboratively with the wider Mirikai team
What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
Experience in hospitality, catering, cafés, commercial kitchens or food service environments Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices Strong organisational skills and attention to detail A positive, dependable and proactive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and interpersonal skills A current Australian Driver Licence The ability to complete a National Criminal History Check
Highly Regarded
Food Safety Certificate or similar qualification Experience working in residential, health, aged care, disability or community service settings Lived experience of recovery and/or experience in the alcohol and other drug sector
