Delivery Driver at Livecopper in Cape Town, Western Cape

Job Description:

Livecopper is looking for a reliable, responsible and hardworking Driver to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of electrical and plumbing materials to customers and project sites throughout the Western Cape. The role will also involve assisting with general warehouse duties, stock handling and maintaining an organised delivery operation.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of good customer service and can represent Livecopper professionally when interacting with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliveries & Driving

• Safely transport and deliver electrical and plumbing materials to customers and project sites.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within scheduled timeframes.
• Check delivery notes and ensure the correct goods are loaded and delivered.
• Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery where required.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes.
• Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean, presentable and in good working condition.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or damage.
• Comply with all road traffic regulations and company driving policies.

Warehouse & General Duties

• Assist with loading and offloading deliveries.
• Check goods against invoices and delivery notes.
• Assist with receiving, organising and storing stock.
• Help maintain a clean and organised warehouse.
• Assist with general operational duties when required.

Customer Service

• Represent Livecopper professionally when interacting with customers.
• Ensure goods are delivered in good condition.
• Communicate professionally with customers and office staff.
• Report delivery discrepancies, delays or customer concerns promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid South African driver's licence (Code B).
• Previous driving or delivery experience would be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding areas.
• Ability to read and understand delivery notes and invoices.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling stock.
• A clean driving record would be advantageous.
