Business Operations Specialist

Liberty Public Schools is seeking a Business Operations Specialist to support Human Resources and the Business Office by maintaining employee benefits and payroll records, processing data, and preparing reports. Key responsibilities include:

• Enter, update, and maintain employee information in the HR information system.
• Calculate benefit premium adjustments, payroll deductions, and employee contributions.
• Maintain employee direct deposit information.
• Support retirement administration.
• Review and reconcile benefit vendor invoices.
• Coordinate payment arrangements for employees with outstanding benefit premiums.
• Calculate employee leave accruals and payouts.
• Transfer data between systems, generate reports, and audit records for accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong math skills and proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including the ability to perform calculations, use formulas, pivot tables, and review data efficiently for accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidential employee information.
• Experience with payroll, accounting, or related administrative work preferred.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

Pay

Classified Salary Schedule, Column N: $22.98 - $29.27 per hour (based on relevant experience).
