Operations Specialist Intern at Liablix in Bologna, IT
Job Description
Operations Specialist Intern
Curricular internship for university students • €400/month.
Imola or Bologna, Italy
Imola is preferred, as this is where our Operations team is based.
This is a fully on-site position. Remote work is not available for this role.
Contract: Internship, minimum duration of 3 months, Full time.
Who we are
Liablix is an innovative startup transforming the way road accidents are reconstructed and analyzed. Our mission is to make claims handling precise, fast, and automated through artificial intelligence. We are backed by leading international investment funds that believe in our vision and support our growth.
We are looking for a university student who wants to gain practical experience in the tech industry and join our Operations team. You will use our technology on real-world cases and provide feedback that will help shape the product’s direction.
This is not a typical internship where you will be given small, low-impact tasks. We are a small team with ambitious goals, so you will take on real responsibilities from day one. You will gain hands-on experience across digital product development and operations, learn how to collaborate with technical teams, and take your first professional steps in the startup ecosystem.
Please apply only after carefully reviewing the full job description and understanding what the role involves. We dedicate significant time to every interview and expect candidates to be genuinely interested in the opportunity. A short, personalized cover letter explaining why you would like to join Liablix is highly appreciated. Please avoid generic or AI-generated text. We would rather read a few genuine lines written in your own words.
What you’ll do
Your typical day will involve:
Using the Liablix platform to reconstruct road accidents through our advanced digital tools.
Contributing feedback to help define the evolution of the product.
Applying and developing your mechanical knowledge to analyze vehicle damage, impact points, accident dynamics, and the available documentation, building specialized expertise in road accidents over time.
Supporting cross-functional activities beyond Operations, such as testing new platform features, preparing data and case studies, writing internal guides, or preparing demos for clients, eventually following a specific project or area over time.
In short, your daily work will directly contribute to building the future of our software. The more useful feedback, ideas, and initiatives you bring to the table, the greater your impact will be.
What we’re looking for
What matters is a solid technical foundation, a genuine interest in vehicles and mechanics, and the willingness to learn, receive training, and grow within a rapidly evolving tech environment.
We believe this role is a good fit for someone who is early in their career and looking for their first significant professional experience, as well as for someone with a technical background who wants to enter the tech industry from a different field.
Essential requirements:
Current university enrollment (mandatory to activate the internship), with availability for an internship of at least 3 months.
An educational background in technical-IT and mechanical fields, preferably a diploma from a technical high school (ITIS or istituto tecnico) with a mechanical, mechatronic, or automotive specialization.
Strong interest in the automotive sector.
Full-time presence at our office, preferably in Imola, or in Bologna. Availability to complete a mandatory two-week initial training at the Operations office in Imola.
Fluency in Italian.
Confidence and speed in using computers, online software, and Google Workspace, together with curiosity about innovative technologies, artificial intelligence, and new ways of working.
Strong analytical thinking and logical reasoning, with a proactive approach and the ability to propose new solutions and ideas.
Ability to collaborate with the software development team, sharing critical observations from daily work and suggesting new features and product improvements.
A tendency to take initiative: in addition to your daily activities, you will have the opportunity to propose and follow a project or an area of improvement in line with your skills and interests. It is a voluntary contribution, but one of great value for the company and for your growth.
Highly appreciated:
Not an essential requirement, but considered a plus: previous experience in vehicle damage assessment, insurance claims handling, or accident reconstruction.
Not an essential requirement, but considered a plus: previous experience in the automotive industry, for example at body shops, workshops, or car dealerships.
Strong digital and technical skills, including familiarity with software development or a good understanding of how digital products are built.
What we offer
If you choose the Imola office: €400/month.
If you choose the Bologna office: €200/month + membership at our office at The Social Hub (access to the gym, swimming pool, yoga classes, and the facility’s activities).
An annual company retreat: once a year, the entire team spends a week working together from a shared location.
A curricular internship with hands-on experience using an innovative AI-based product applied to real-world cases. You will have a level of autonomy and responsibility that few internships can offer.
Training on the Liablix platform and on the fundamental concepts of road accident analysis. We invest in developing your professional skills in this field, and you will learn directly from highly experienced industry experts.
Direct collaboration with our Operations and software development teams.
The opportunity to quickly become an important part of a young startup founded in 2025 and growing rapidly. As the team expands, new professional opportunities will naturally emerge.
Culture fit
We’re a fit if:
You are proactive, curious, and eager to demonstrate your value.
You want to build something new from scratch and find that idea exciting.
You are passionate about startups, artificial intelligence, and digital products.
We’re not a fit if:
You prefer a steady and predictable work pace: in a startup, workloads can be intense, especially during periods of rapid growth.
You prefer a gradual onboarding: with us, you will be involved in operational activities from your very first days.
You are not ambitious. We are looking for people who are eager to learn, contribute, and prove what they can do.
Why join us
Do repetitive and restrictive roles in large, traditional companies feel like the wrong fit for you?
Here, you will have the opportunity to prove your value, take ownership, and stand out. This role will give you hands-on experience, concrete responsibilities, and direct exposure to how a technology startup builds and improves its product.
Seeing something you helped build grow is incredibly rewarding. We are determined to create the world’s most advanced software for road accident reconstruction, and joining us now means having the opportunity to contribute to this journey from the very beginning.
