Location: Copenhagen
Job Description
#LI-KO1

Just imagine data and AI becoming part of every key operational decision across the LEGO® Group. Then make it real.
About the Role
As our Director Operations/MST - Data, you'll help shape how data and AI create value across Manufacturing and Supply Chain. The role starts as an individual contributor role with the ambition to build a team below once we have alignment and agreement with the business. You'll partner with senior leaders to define a clear vision, identify high-impact opportunities, and turn ambition into action. This is a unique opportunity to build an embedded data and AI presence in a new domain, creating early momentum, influencing strategy, and helping leaders make better decisions through data. You'll connect business priorities with the capabilities of product, engineering, and data teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Please note: Relocation support is not available for this role.

Required Qualifications
Applied data and AI solutions within manufacturing, supply chain, or operational environments
Built data and AI opportunities from business challenges and translated them into practical solutions
Established credibility with data science and engineering teams through strong technical depth
Developed business cases linked to operational and commercial outcomes
Implemented data governance, data quality, and data modelling practices
Delivered results in environments where physical operations and digital capabilities intersect

Preferred Qualifications
Applied data and AI to predictive maintenance, production scheduling, demand planning, quality control, yield optimisation, or digital twins
Worked with operational data including IoT, sensor, streaming, MES, or ERP environments
Established a new data, analytics, or AI capability from the ground up
Implemented modern cloud-native or lakehouse data platform architectures

What you'll build
A clear data and AI vision for the operational domain, aligned to leadership priorities
A prioritised roadmap with sponsored business cases and measurable outcomes
Early proof points that demonstrate the value of data and AI in real business scenarios
Strong partnerships across the Data Office, product, engineering, and AI teams
A view of the domain's data landscape, including opportunities, gaps, and improvement areas
An operating model and capability plan for the future embedded data organisation
If you've worked in a role where you've connected business strategy, operational challenges, and technology investment to deliver measurable results, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to turn opportunity into action and create momentum through credible, value-focused outcomes.

Life on the team
You'll join the Data Office leadership team within the LEGO Group's Digital Technology organisation. The team provides enterprise data platforms, governance, and best practices for data and AI while working closely with business areas to increase data maturity and business impact. This role suits someone who enjoys ambiguity, builds trust through relationships, influences without formal authority, and helps others see what's possible through data and AI. We work in a hybrid rhythm and collaborate closely across technology and business teams.
What success looks like
Success means becoming a trusted partner to operational leaders and ensuring data and AI are part of the conversations that matter most. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you'll help establish a new embedded capability, define where investment should be focused, and shape the future team needed to support long-term ambitions. You'll work closely with cluster leaders, technology leaders, product teams, engineers, the enterprise data platform team, and Data Office leadership to make that happen.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. However, please note we do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to any advertised closing date. So, if you're interested in this role we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
