Summary: Law Offices of Robert S. Gitmeid & Associates is a consumer protection law firm located in New York City. They are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to handle a diverse caseload related to consumer protection and civil litigation matters. Responsibilities: - Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in New Mexico - Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters - Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc - Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims - Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law - While this role is based from home, you may be required to travel for in court appearances Required Qualifications: - Must be currently admitted to practice law in New Mexico - Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm - Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines - Exceptional written and oral communication skills - Highest ethical standards and professional integrity - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization - Strong legal research skills Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus Required Skills: Legal Document Drafting, Legal Memoranda, Pleadings, Motions, Legal Research, Contract Law, Consumer Law, LexisNexis, Admission to Practice Law in New Mexico Benefits: Training & Guidance, Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits, 401K Benefits with Employer Match, Paid Time Off (PTO), An incredible team of smart and supportive people!
