Director of Finance & Operations at LATTICOR in Dallas

THE OPPORTUNITY

LATTICOR aims to finally deliver on the promises of AI, providing a safe, trustworthy, and powerful force multiplier to companies in the middle market. The product is a self-building and self-improving task force, capable of autonomously handling a wide range of business responsibilities across industries and disciplines. LATTICOR recently closed a $4M+ seed round from a prominent family office and is scaling its organization and deploying its product to initial customers now. The founding team has built the product and secured initial paying customers and is looking to fill its roster with the best and brightest minds who can help in the collective mission to make a major dent in this exciting and competitive industry.

THE ROLE

This is the first operations hire at LATTICOR, working directly alongside the founder — a seasoned operator with a Wall Street background, deep enterprise relationships, and years of experience designing and building complex AI systems. He stays focused on customers and code: closing deals, running the roadmap, and building alongside the engineering team. Your day-one mandate is to own everything else — finance, compliance, legal, people, vendors, and the office itself — so that nothing outside the product or the sale ever lands on his desk.

You'll also be a first-in-line adopter of AI, putting Colleague to work across your own operations daily. Your dogfooding won't just make you faster — it will directly shape the product, turning your real operational needs into a feedback loop that guides what we build.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance & Forecasting

· Own budgeting, cash flow, burn, and runway — keeping the board and CEO current with clear, accurate numbers.

· Manage bookkeeping and accounting oversight with outside accountants and tax preparers, keeping the books audit-ready across Texas sales/use tax and state and federal obligations.

· Build financial models and board-ready forecasts for fundraising and planning.

Legal & Contracts

· Review customer contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and employment agreements for risk, escalating to outside counsel only when warranted.

· Manage outside counsel and maintain a clean system of record for executed agreements and corporate filings.

Compliance (SOC 2 and beyond)

· Own the SOC 2 program end-to-end — policies, evidence, control mapping — and run point on the annual audit.

· Write and operationalize security and operational policies, and track emerging obligations (data privacy, employment law) as we grow.

People Operations

· Own onboarding and offboarding — offers, I-9/E-Verify, systems access, clean exits — and administer payroll, PTO, and benefits.

· Run the performance review cycle and bonus program, and maintain the employee handbook and job architecture.

· Coordinate recruiting logistics with the CEO and hiring managers, keeping practices compliant.

Vendors & Systems

· Own the full vendor lifecycle — sourcing through offboarding — for every non-engineering vendor.

· Administer the core operating stack and evaluate new tools as we scale.

Office & Facilities

· Lead the move into LATTICOR's new Uptown office — logistics, vendors, furniture, IT — with minimal disruption.

· Own day-to-day facilities: supplies, equipment, access and security, and the vendors behind them.

Cross-Functional Project Management

· Be the connective tissue between Engineering, Sales, and Marketing — tracking commitments, surfacing blockers, keeping work on schedule.

Executive Support & Client Engagement

· Assist in building board decks, investor updates, and internal presentations.

· Join select client calls for contracting, onboarding logistics, and account administration.

· Prepare data room materials and diligence responses for fundraising and, eventually, customer security reviews.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

LATTICOR is seeking a unique individual who…

• thrives in ambiguity. There's no playbook here yet, and you don't need one. You're comfortable working with incomplete information and building the path as you walk it.

• is a total self-starter. You operate autonomously, set your own priorities, and are used to moving things forward without being asked twice. No one here will hold your hand — and you wouldn't want them to.

• can hold your own with senior leaders. Most of our clients are senior business leaders, and you're credible and composed in front of them — the kind of person whose presence reflects well on LATTICOR in any room.

• is genuinely curious about AI. This isn't a buzzword for you. You've gotten your hands dirty with the technology, you can speak intelligently and eagerly about where it's headed, and you're energized by its potential to change how organizations work.

• thrives working alongside a founder. You'll be in lockstep with the founder on every major project — this role is collaborative, not siloed. You like being close to the action and learning directly from the person who's been in every room.

• brings the finance chops and the startup reps. Solid grounding in finance and accounting, plus 4+ years of operations, chief of staff, or general management somewhere fast-paced where you helped build the playbook.
