Solutions Engineer - EMEA at Laravel in France, FR

Job Description
Laravel is the most popular PHP framework in the world. 500M+ lifetime downloads. Thousands of packages. A developer community that shows up at conferences, in forums, on Twitter, in Discord servers, and in every “what framework should I use?” thread on the internet.
But Laravel is more than a framework. It is a complete ecosystem with dedicated tools and resources to help you go from building an app locally to deploying it, monitoring usage, and then improving and scaling it up. Laravel Cloud is the platform at the heart of it all: a fully managed home for web apps, with managed compute, databases, caches, object storage, WebSockets, queues, and built-in scale-to-zero with millisecond wakes that keeps idle infrastructure from breaking the budget.
We're in the early days. The GTM motion is still taking shape. There is no massive Solutions Engineering org. There is no 50-page technical playbook. There is no pre-built demo or reference architecture for every scenario you'll walk into. What there is: incredible product-market fit, a brand that opens every door, and a growing team of talented people who care deeply about doing this right.
In this role, you bridge the gap between technical discovery and business value for Laravel Cloud. You are a strategic partner to the sales team, architecting solutions that solve complex infrastructure challenges for our prospective customers. By collaborating across Product, Sales, and Support, you ensure that every engagement translates deep technical architecture into a foundation for long-term success on the platform.
Why this job is unique
- Our audience is developers. They have high standards, deep expertise, and no time for a sales pitch that lacks substance.
- Credential matter. Your ability to speak their language is what earns trust and builds relationships.
- You are an early hire. You will navigate ambiguity and play a direct role in defining our technical GTM strategy.
- Collaboration is our default. You are the technical thread connecting engineering, product, and sales to our customers.
What you will do
Accelerate the sales motion. You lead the technical charge to win new business. This means running discovery with CTOs, mapping complex application ecosystems and hosting needs to our platform, and delivering high-fidelity solution designs and estimates.
Serve as a technical authority. Through demos and architecture deep-dives, you show how Laravel Cloud handles performance and security at scale. You win the respect of engineering teams by solving for their hardest requirements.
Lead evaluations and production pilots. You own the hands-on technical journey, from provisioning trial environments and benchmarking data to coaching customer teams for a seamless production rollout.
Guide the buying journey. You translate technical success into business ROI for leadership. You manage security reviews and procurement hurdles, partnering with your AE to keep the commercial and technical threads aligned.
Influence the platform. You turn field insights into actionable product feedback. Beyond the deal, you represent Laravel in the community by speaking at events, writing technical content, and engaging on livestreams.
Iterate and build. You create the tools and processes that will scale our sales operations. You thrive on turning the unknown into a repeatable, high-performing function.
Practical engineering experience. You have built and shipped production apps, navigated AWS, and understand the nuances of deployment and API design.
Architectural expertise. You possess a high degree of cloud fluency, from networking and high availability to database tuning.
Composure and credibility. You can whiteboard a complex system or review a prospect's code live without breaking a sweat.
Effective communication. You listen first, handle objections with ease, and can explain technical concepts to any stakeholder, from dev to finance.
A partner mindset. You care more about the customer's long-term value than simply getting a signature on a contract.
Team-oriented DNA. You support your sales partners and advocate for the customer with product and engineering teams by delivering constructive feedback.
Startup agility. You enjoy the build phase and are ready to travel to meet customers or attend conferences as we grow.
