Accountant at Kalandoor Building Contracting in Dubai

Job Summary

Kalandoor Group is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with 2–3 years of UAE-based accounting experience to manage financial transactions, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the finance team across the group's diverse business verticals (construction, trading, manufacturing, and fit-out projects).

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, general ledger entries, and reconciliations across business units
• Process accounts payable/receivable, supplier invoices, and client billing for ongoing projects
• Prepare the UAE VAT documents in compliance with FTA regulations
• Support project-wise cost tracking and job-costing for construction/fit-out contracts
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and manage petty cash
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing, and preparation of financial statements
• Coordinate with procurement, project, and site teams for cost and invoice verification
• Support internal/external audits and ensure documentation is audit-ready
• Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding client payments
• Assist management with MIS reports, budgeting, and cash flow tracking

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• 2–3 years of hands-on accounting experience within the UAE (construction/fit-out/trading industry background preferred),Overall experience 4-5 years .
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliation formats)
• Experience with project/job costing is an advantage
• Good communication skills in English
• Immediate joiners preferred
