JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: O-Levels Computer Science Teacher

School: Kaizen High School

Department: Academics / Computer Science

Reports To: Academic Coordinator / Principal

Experience Required: 5+ Years (O-Levels)

Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time.

1. Job Purpose:

To teach O-Level Computer Science as per Cambridge International curriculum and ensure students achieve excellent results in both Theory and Practical/Programming components.

2. Key Responsibilities:

A) Teaching & Academics:

Cover both papers: Paper 1 (Theory) & Paper 2 (Problem-solving and Programming)

Teach concepts: Data Representation, Communication & Internet, Hardware/Software, Logic Gates, Algorithm Design, Pseudocode, Flowcharts, Python / VB Programming

Prepare lesson plans, scheme of work, and yearly syllabus breakup as per Cambridge

Conduct regular past paper practice and topical revision (2018-2025)

B) Lab & Practical Management:

Conduct practical classes in computer lab for programming, algorithms, and documentation

Maintain lab discipline and ensure students follow programming ethics

Prepare students for Alternative to Practical and Programming Tasks

Ensure all systems and software are updated and working

C) Assessment & Performance:

Responsible for final CAIE results and 100% syllabus completion

Conduct weekly tests, monthly assessments, and mock examsIdentify weak students and provide extra support classes for programming logic

Maintain student progress records, grades, and result analysis

Teach paper presentation and exam techniques to secure A & A_D)

Administration & Coordination:

Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM)

Organize and manage events like IT exhibitions, Coding Competitions, Tech Week

Attend staff meetings and professional development trainings

Coordinate with IT Department for lab maintenance

3. Requirements & Skills:

Education:

BS Computer Science / BS Software Engineering / MCS / MIT (B.Ed will be a plus)

Experience: Minimum 5+ Years of teaching O-Levels Computer Science

Must have strong command over Cambridge Curriculum, Pseudocode, and Programming

Excellent knowledge of Python, Scratch, Logic Gates, Networking, Databases

Strong communication in English and classroom management skills

Proficient in MS Office, Google Classroom, and modern EdTech tools

Proven track record of A and A_ results
