What will you do
The Johnson Controls’ Accelerated Commercial Excellence (ACE) Program is an early career 18-month sales development programdesigned to transform recent graduates into skilled channel or product sales individuals. Over the course of the program, participants receive instructor-led intensive training, hands-on customer experience and mentorship to build technical expertise and sales acumen, preparing them for impactful sales roles within our organization.This program is designed to prepare candidates for product channel salesacross seven different Johnson Controls’ business unitswith a single cohort, summer hiring cadence.
In thisparticularrole, you will be supporting Johnson Controls’ Fire Suppression (FSP) business domain.Since we patented the modern fire sprinkler over 140 years ago, Johnson Controls manufactures industry-leading Fire Suppression systems including water-based sprinklers, valves, special hazards systems, extinguishers, agents, related components, and fittingsdesigned to safeguard commercial buildings and its occupants.
During the first six months of the ACE Program, all participants will be based in the Milwaukee area, working from Johnson Controls' global headquarters in Glendale, Wisconsin. Upon completion of this initial training period, participants will relocate to a predetermined assignment location to continue their development. Following successful graduation from the program, associates will transition into an outside or field sales role supporting customer accounts within a designated territory near their assigned location.

How will you do it
Complete all required ACE foundational sales training
Provide technical and commercial aid toFSPoutsidesales personnel (called Territory Managers) and customers.
Assist sales team with opportunity pipeline management and account information updates in CRM tool
Support customers’Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP)
Develop relationships and enable cross collaboration with customer service agents, tech service specialists, supply chain managers and commercial operations teams
Develop customer relationships with managed and maintained accounts to generate new business opportunities, support strategic product or account growth initiatives and report feedback
Provide problem-solving assistance to customers when issues arise such asorder management, quality concerns, pricing discrepancies, product selectionsupport, etc.
Attend frequent training sessions to build deep FSPproduct/solutionknowledge, market strategiesand sales processexpertise
Prepare, practice and lead multiple customer-facing product presentations (Subject Matter Expert)
Analyze sales reports and dashboards using PowerBI tool
Promote customer usage for our online ordering portal (called Solution Navigator) and report feedback
Establish monthly cadence with Territory Managersand Regional Sales Managers to monitor progress and actively participatein customer needs, field trips and quarterlybusiness reviews (QBRs)
Travel to manufacturing plants, R&D facilities and customer locations for live training and sales shadowing
What we look for
Required:
Bachelor’s degree minimum (Mechanical, Industrial, ChemicalEngineering or Business Degree highly preferred)
Recent graduate or undergraduate senior expecting to graduate between Apr2027 – Jun2027. Program starts in Jun2027
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Must have the ability to be in Milwaukee, WI (Glendale WI) for the first six months of the program, then relocate to one of the predeterminedpermanent bases (New England or California).
U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
Technical sales internship experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Available to travel up to 25% – dependent upon your assignments
Experience with any CRM and PowerBIsystems
