Service Advisor at J. M. Auto Service in Sauk Rapids, MN

That helps a lot. This is the voice you were after: specific, confident, a little punchy, and actually selling the life and the opportunity instead of sounding like an HR template. Done with the city? So are we, on your behalf. If you're a strong Service Advisor spending an hour in traffic every day, paying city prices for everything, working Saturdays, and dealing with constant shop chaos — there’s a better setup a few hours north. We’re hiring a Service Advisor at JM Auto Service in Eveleth, Minnesota, right in the heart of the Iron Range. Up here, the commute is short, housing is still attainable, lakes are everywhere, and your paycheck actually goes somewhere. Hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, hiking, and time outside aren’t things you have to plan a weekend around. Duluth and Lake Superior are 45 minutes away, and day-to-day life is a whole lot simpler. We’re JM Auto Service — a busy, family-owned independent repair shop with a 4.8 Google rating and 400+ reviews. We have a strong customer base, a good team, solid systems, and plenty of work. We’re not looking for someone to simply answer the phone and write up cars. We want someone who enjoys talking with people, selling, solving problems, keeping things moving, and taking care of customers. You’ll work with customers from the first phone call through pickup, explain recommendations clearly, build trust, sell needed repairs and maintenance, coordinate with technicians, and help keep the shop flowing. For the right person, this is more than a Service Advisor position. There is real opportunity to grow into a management role as the company continues to grow. Why advisors are worth relocating here for: Monday–Friday schedule No weekend shifts Busy shop with an established customer base Strong technician team behind you Clean, organized, professional work environment Systems and processes already in place Cost of living that lets your income go further Housing you can realistically own Short commute Outdoor recreation everywhere Small-town community without small-shop expectations What we’re looking for: Someone who genuinely likes working with people Strong communication skills Comfortable selling repair and maintenance work Organized and able to handle a busy day Good follow-through Calm under pressure Problem-solver, not problem-passer Automotive experience is preferred Service Advisor experience is a big plus Someone who wants to build a career, not just find another job What we offer: Competitive pay based on experience and ability 6 Paid Holidays + a Paid Birthday Day Off PTO accrual from day one 100% paid health insurance & dental 3% 401(k) match Paid short-term disability + life insurance Company-paid training Relocation assistance available Monday–Friday schedule Long-term advancement opportunity Potential to grow into management We have high standards, but we also give people the tools and support to succeed. Come take a look before you rule it out. We’re happy to talk through the job, relocation, the area, or what working here is actually like.
