Job Description
Summary: Integra LifeSciences is a company focused on innovating new treatment pathways to advance patient outcomes. The Engineering Rotational Program offers a structured two-year experience with rotations across various engineering functions, providing participants the skills to excel in the medical device industry.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in a series of rotational assignments every 8 months across engineering functions such as product development, manufacturing, research and development (R&D), and quality assurance Collaborate with cross-functional teams applicable to your rotation
- May engage in the testing, validation, and optimization of products to meet regulatory standards and improve patient outcomes
- Assist in the development and documentation of engineering processes and solutions
- May contribute to project planning, execution, and reporting, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met
- Analyze and resolve complex engineering challenges and leverage your critical thinking skills to solve problems
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, contributing ideas for innovation and process optimization
- Engage in mentorship and training opportunities, receiving feedback and coaching from senior engineers and leaders
- Present project findings, progress reports, and technical recommendations to management and other stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related fields)
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within the medical device industry
- Previous internship or academic project experience in engineering (preferably related to medical technology)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to relocate between U.S. sites for rotational assignments across various departments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience in medical device regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with the FDA and ISO 13485 standards
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Involvement in engineering-related student organizations, internships, or research projects
