Summary: INOVA Federal Credit Union is a member-focused credit union committed to improving members' financial well-being through exceptional service and innovative financial solutions. The Financial Solutions Specialist (Float) builds member relationships, recommends financial products, processes account and loan services, provides financial education, and supports multiple branch locations.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong, lasting relationships with current and prospective members by providing exceptional service and personalized financial guidance
- Identify member needs and recommend products and services that support their short- and long-term financial goals
- Open and service checking, savings, money market, IRA, HSA, and business accounts
- Assist members with consumer loan applications, credit cards, and other lending solutions
- Conduct loan closings and explain loan terms, documentation, and requirements
- Process member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and other account services
- Educate members on digital banking, mobile banking, debit cards, online banking services, and other available tools
- Assist members with account maintenance, problem resolution, and service-related requests
- Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through financial education and appropriate product recommendations
- Provide support to multiple INOVA branch locations based on staffing needs, business priorities, and member demand
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while following all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support branch operations and complete additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant financial services experience will be considered
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different branch locations and changing business needs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Positive attitude and passion for helping members achieve financial success
- Ability to travel between INOVA branch locations as needed
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Financial Services, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in financial services, banking, lending, account services, retail banking, sales, or a related field preferred
- Experience with consumer lending, account opening, or financial products is a plus
- Ability to obtain Notary Public certification, if required
