Hays Recruitment
HR and Payroll Coordinator at Hays Recruitment in Gainsborough
Job Description
HR & Payroll Coordinator
Gainsborough | £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience and qualifications | 4 or 5 days per week considered
Payroll professionals often find themselves looking for one of two things.
More of the same, or an opportunity to broaden their experience.
If you're looking for the latter, this could be exactly what you've been waiting for.
Due to continued growth and a number of exciting projects planned over the next 12-18 months, a successful and well-established business in Gainsborough is creating a brand-new position within its people team.
At its heart, this is a payroll role.
Working closely with an experienced Payroll Supervisor, you'll play a key part in ensuring payroll is delivered accurately, efficiently and compliantly across the business. You'll be involved in payroll processing, pensions administration, statutory payments, reporting, employee data management and maintaining the integrity of payroll and HR systems.
Alongside payroll, you'll gain exposure to wider HR activities including employee administration, recruitment support, training coordination and HR projects. However, previous HR experience is not essential. What's more important is a strong payroll background, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Assistant, Payroll Administrator or Payroll Coordinator looking to join a stable, growing organisation where they can continue developing their payroll expertise while gradually building broader HR experience.
What we're looking for
- You'll already have experience working within payroll and be comfortable handling employee data, pensions, statutory payments and payroll processes.
- You may have some exposure to HR administration, although this isn't essential.
- The ideal person will be organised, detail-focused, highly accurate and confident working with systems and data. You'll enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in getting things right first time.
What's in it for you?
In addition to a salary of £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience and qualifications, you'll receive an excellent benefits package including - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays | Holiday purchase scheme | Healthcare plan | Enhanced pension contributions | Free onsite parking | Subsidised canteen | Cycle to Work scheme | Employee Assistance Programme | Wellness initiatives
Following one year's service, you'll also benefit from income protection, life assurance and a company performance bonus scheme.
Working Pattern
The organisation can accommodate either a four or five-day working week.
Those working four days will be fully site-based. Employees working five days can work from home one day per week, subject to team requirements and rota coverage.
Core hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
Interested?
If you're an experienced payroll professional looking for a role where payroll remains the focus, but with the opportunity to broaden your skills over time, we'd love to hear from you.
