Your Role
As a vital Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester in our Oxford facility, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing, scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, and general mechanical repairs across a wide variety of makes and models.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical & electrical faults using up-to-date diagnostic tools and scanners.
- Conduct Class 4, 5L & 7 MOT tests strictly in accordance with DVSA legal and safety standards.
- Perform Taxi Inspections, VSI Checks, and Minibus inspections (with full internal training provided).
- Maintain precise digital job records and collaborate with a close-knit team to ensure a smooth workshop flow.
What You Need
- Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. Active, valid DVSA MOT Tester Licence (Class 4 & 7 essential; Class 5L preferred or training provided). F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
- Licensing: Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Equipment & Mindset: Must possess your own hand tools for daily repair tasks. Strong diagnostic skills, high attention to detail, and a collaborative team attitude.
