Intern, Events- Magic the Gathering

Summary: Hasbro is a global play and entertainment company that aims to entertain and connect generations of fans through storytelling and play. They are seeking an Events Team Intern to assist with planning and executing events for Magic: The Gathering, contributing to meaningful projects while gaining professional experience and networking opportunities. Responsibilities: - Be available for on-site execution for events (this may require some travel) - Assist in Planning and Logistics support for events - Be willing to jump in on projects at any stage of planning - Be willing to ask questions along the way Required Qualifications: - Curiosity, Creativity and Team Mentality - Understanding of Conventions as an attendee - Some basic technical skills, including being able to navigate the Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites (not as an artist, but as it pertains to more office driven work) and applying those skills to other tools that will feel similar - Project Management - Ability to integrate and work positively with teams consisting of people from all backgrounds and capabilities Preferred Qualifications: - Theater/Music Production Background – Stage management, show runner, lighting, sound, etc - Magic: The Gathering or general gaming knowledge - Pop Culture & Fandom knowledge - film, comics, collectibles, events (Comic-Con, PAX etc.) - An eye for visual and eye catching imagery and design Required Skills: Project Management Important Skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, Conventions Nice-to-Have Skills: Curiosity, integrate with teams, Theater/Music Production Background, Magic The Gathering knowledge, Pop Culture knowledge, Eye for design, Creativity, Team Mentality Benefits: Employee product discounts across Hasbro brands, Paid time off, including a fully paid company-wide summer break in August, Volunteer Time Off: 4 paid hours per month to give back through the Team Hasbro volunteer program, Access to learning and development resources throughout the summer, Opportunities to connect with fellow interns and employees across the company
