Summary: Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit organization focused on eliminating poverty housing and homelessness. They are seeking a Customer Service Engagement Associate to assist and engage with customers at the ReStore location, ensuring a positive shopping experience and supporting the organization's mission. Responsibilities: - Primary function is to serve as the point person for when customers come in and out of the store - Successfully complete assigned daily tasks at the ReStore - Assist with customer service and selling items on sales floor - Serve as cashier - Assist with the processing of materials - Assist with the back-room flow (e.g., monitoring the flow from drop-off and clean-up to pricing) - Loading and unloading donations and pick-ups - Stocking product in store - Help maintain cleanliness and safety of the sales floor and other off-stage areas - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalent - Basic math and computer skills - Ability to handle high volume of transactions - Polite and courteous - Strong Communications Skills - Alert and attentive to details - Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions Preferred Qualifications: - Experience as a cashier is desirable - Customer service experience is desirable - Familiarity with cash desk equipment, such as point-of-sale (POS) machines, scanners, cash drawers, etc., is desirable Required Skills: Cashiering, Point-of-Sale (POS) Equipment, Politeness Benefits: DuPage Habitat offers a competitive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, 403(b) and a generous paid time off package.
