Director of Southern Sales at GVW Group in Highland Park, IL

At Autocar Parts, we fight for the customers’ needs. We invest in and grow businesses that disrupt their industries by putting the customers’ needs first. From big data to industrial manufacturing, we deliver tools that transform the work of the people that use them. We are privately owned and expect our team members to act with an owner mindset: Relentless about creating value for the customer. Dogged about finding efficiencies and eliminating waste. Standing arm in arm with the rest of the team until the job is done—and ready to do it again the next day, with a smile. It is not easy to do things differently. But we do it—because we are passionate about improving our business and the lives of the people who use our tools.

This is an opportunity for a competitive, consultative sales professional who thrives on winning new business, growing strategic accounts, and becoming a trusted advisor to customers across the heavy-duty truck parts industry. If you're energized by solving customer challenges, building long-term partnerships, and delivering measurable results, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Regional Fleet Account Executive, you'll develop and execute territory growth strategies while partnering with fleet customers to improve uptime and operational performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create and execute customer-specific sales strategies that drive revenue and profitability.
• Communicate competitive market intelligence and customer insights to leadership.
• Manage pricing, pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM activities with discipline.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

What Makes You Successful

We're looking for someone who combines technical knowledge with a relentless drive to win.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of successful sales experience, preferably within the heavy-duty truck, commercial vehicle, or trailer parts industry.
• Proven history of exceeding sales goals.
• Strong customer-first mindset and passion for building relationships.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and accountable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).

• Heavy-duty truck parts aftermarket sales
• Fleet maintenance operations
• OE and aftermarket parts strategies
• Solution-based, consultative selling
• Prospecting and new business development
• CRM management and pipeline discipline
• Technical conversations with fleet maintenance professionals
• Executive-level relationship building
• Competitive market analysis

You'll be comfortable discussing technical solutions with shop personnel while confidently presenting business value and cost savings to procurement teams and company leadership.

In this role, you will:

• Grow revenue and profitability within your assigned territory.
• Expand share of wallet across existing fleet customers.
• Win new fleet business through proactive prospecting and consultative selling.
