QA/QC OfficerPosition Summary
Perform, develop, and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities and procedures at various stages of manufacturing in accordance with international standards, legal requirements, customer specifications, and company procedures. Monitor domestically manufactured and repair products to ensure consistent quality and compliance before delivery to the end user.
Essential Functions
- Manage the lifecycle of QA/QC documentation, ensuring all records are systematically organized, controlled, and easily retrievable for audits and inspections.
- Implement and maintain a robust document control process in compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations.
- Review and verify the accuracy of QA/QC documents before distribution, ensuring all information is current, complete, and correctly formatted.
- Ensure and maintain compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018.
- Prepare, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) based on customer specifications, drawings, applicable standards, and project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain related QA/QC documents, including Method Statements, Inspection Checklists, Inspection & Test Records, Quality Plans, Material Inspection Reports, NCRs, Corrective Action Reports, Calibration Records, Certificates of Conformity (COC), and other quality-related documentation.
- Coordinate with production and technical teams to ensure all inspection and testing requirements specified in the ITPs are properly implemented and recorded.
- Perform in-process and final inspections as per drawings, Job Orders, specifications, ITPs, and Operation Management System requirements.
- Perform and maintain records of calibration/verification activities for gauges, measuring, and testing equipment, ensuring established control features are maintained.
- Ensure product license applications and procedures comply with licensor requirements.
- Verify work orders, inspection reports, COCs, and all relevant process documents before final product release and delivery.
- Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials and bought-out materials.
- Report and follow up on nonconformities with the concerned departments, including QA/QC Manager/Supervisor and Production Manager/Supervisor.
- Handle customer complaints, customer surveys, and supplier evaluations.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of products throughout all stages of operations, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery.
- Maintain inspection and testing status of products at all times.
- Support and participate in Internal Quality Audits (IQA), Management Reviews, external audits, and customer inspections.
- Train and mentor production staff/workers on quality standards, inspection requirements, and best practices to foster a quality-centric culture.
- Assist in obtaining and maintaining company accreditations, product certifications, QMS certifications, and compliance with applicable international standards and regulations.
Education / Qualification
- Diploma in any discipline with relevant product/process experience or equivalent.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of relevant international quality standards, inspection procedures, and documentation requirements.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in QA/QC, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in preparing, reviewing, and implementing ITPs and QA/QC documentation.
- Experience in inspection, production line processes, and calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
- Experience in preparing and maintaining Quality Plans, Method Statements, Inspection Checklists, NCRs, COC, inspection reports, and related quality records.
- Experience in implementing and preparing Management Review, Internal Quality Audits (IQA), and internal training programs in compliance with IMS procedures.
- Knowledge and experience in acquiring and maintaining company accreditations, product certifications, QMS certifications, and other international standards/regulatory approvals.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
- Good communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
