Veterinary Associate - Greencross Deeragun at Greencross… · Deeragun

Company Description

Looking for a role where you can grow your clinical skills, feel supported by a strong team, and still enjoy a lifestyle that feels like a reset?

Greencross Deeragun is based in one of Townsville’s most liveable northern suburbs, just minutes from the beach, with easy access to Magnetic Island, weekend escapes, and a relaxed pace of life.

This is a great opportunity for a vet who wants to focus on quality care, build confidence, and be part of a clinic that values collaboration over pressure.

The clinic

Greencross Deeragun is a well-established GP clinic with a loyal client base and a welcoming, down-to-earth team.

You’ll be supported by experienced vets and nurses, with access to:

• Digital X-ray and modern diagnostic equipment
• Fully equipped surgical theatre
• Separate dog and cat wards
• A steady, varied caseload across medicine and surgery

We’re a team that leans on each other. Whether you’re early in your career or building toward your next step, you’ll have the support around you to keep progressing.

The role

This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week), typically across 4 days, with a balanced mix of consults and surgery.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering high-quality, personalised care to patients and clients
• Routine consults and soft tissue surgery
• Working through cases with a collaborative team around you
• Building strong client relationships and trust
• Contributing to a positive, supportive clinic culture

What we’re looking for

• A Veterinary degree recognised in Australia
• Registration or eligibility with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland
• A team-first mindset and a willingness to learn
• Confidence in general practice or a desire to keep building your skills
• Strong communication and client care

Whether you’re a recent graduate, have completed an internship, or are a more experienced vet looking for a lifestyle change, we’re open to shaping this role around the right person.

Why Greencross

You’ll be part of a wider network that supports your growth, without losing the feel of a close-knit clinic.

We offer:

• 4 weeks annual leave + 1 week study leave (or converted to annual leave)
• Generous CPD support, including workshops and conferences
• Access to online learning and clinical resources
• Visa sponsorship and relocation support for eligible candidates
• Employee benefits and discounts across the Greencross network
• A genuine focus on sustainable workloads and team wellbeing
