Senior Veterinarian - Greencross Beenleigh at Greencross… · Beenleigh

Company Description

Not every experienced vet wants their next role to be a formal management position. You may simply want your clinical judgement to be trusted, the freedom to work cases properly, and the opportunity to have a meaningful influence without taking on responsibilities you never asked for.

That is what we can offer at Greencross Beenleigh.

Our Veterinary Director is currently on parental leave, so we are looking for an experienced veterinarian who can bring confidence and consistency to the clinic. You will work alongside our locum and casual veterinarians, with support from our Regional Clinical Director and the wider Greencross network.

If you are interested in stepping into an acting clinical lead capacity, we would be very open to discussing what that could look like. If leadership is not what you are looking for, it is not a requirement. This can remain a senior clinical role where your experience is valued without formal management responsibilities.

The clinic

Opened in 2022, Greencross Beenleigh is a purpose-built, modern clinic designed to support efficient workflows, patient comfort and high-quality general practice.

Co-located with Petbarn, the clinic benefits from a steady flow of pet owners and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients in the local community.

The clinic includes:

• Four consult rooms, including a dedicated cat-only room
• Separate dog and cat wards
• IM3 GS Deluxe dental equipment
• Digital radiography and dental X-ray
• Ultrasound
• In-house haematology
• Multiparameter monitoring, including blood pressure, ECG and capnography
• A light-filled, well-planned layout with space to consult, work up cases and operate comfortably

You can also take a look inside through our clinic walkthrough video.

What makes this opportunity different

This is an opportunity to help shape the next chapter of a well-equipped clinic while remaining connected to a much larger veterinary community.

As the Senior Veterinarian, you will have:

• Clinical autonomy and trust in how you manage your cases
• Support from our experienced Regional Clinical Director
• Locum and casual veterinary support within the clinic
• Access to neighbouring Greencross clinics for collaboration, case discussions and second opinions
• The opportunity to influence clinical standards, workflows and the day-to-day experience of the team
• The option to explore an acting clinical lead role, if that aligns with your career goals
• Flexibility to discuss the structure of the position and the level of leadership responsibility that feels right for you

You will not be expected to step into a formal leadership position simply because you are experienced. We would rather have an open conversation about your strengths, interests and what you want from your next role.

About you

This role could suit an established Senior Veterinarian or an experienced GP vet who is ready to take the next step in their career.

• Make sound clinical decisions while knowing when to seek another perspective
• Value consistency, teamwork and strong client relationships
• Enjoy supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive clinical culture
• Would like greater influence within a clinic, with or without formal leadership responsibilities
