Our Silks Farm Day Nursery, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Forest School Practitioner to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery
Our Silks Farm Day Nursery and Preschool in the Huntingdon area offers an array of exceptional features that contribute to our high-quality childcare. We are passionate about Forest School principals and incorporate them into daily activities within our dedicated outdoor learning space.

Our on-site chef prepares nutritious and delicious meals each day, carefully catering to all dietary requirements and allergies.
Location
Set in rural Cambridgeshire, we are located between Somersham village and St Ives retail park, near Cuckoobridge Farm Shop. The nursery is easily accessible by car and offers ample parking.
What will you be doing
• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery and forest school in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
• Where required assume key carer responsibilities for designated children
• Ensure that all children attending the nursery and forest school receive rich and stimulating experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Prepare and support children’s activities within the Forest School
• Contribute to ensuring that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Support and mentor students and un-qualified staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice
• Ensure that the forest school's health and safety is always maintained at the highest level and the children's understanding of this is also supported
