EMERGENCY DUTY WORKER Location: Meadow Lake, SK, Canada The Opportunity:  The Ministry of Social Services, Child & Family Programs, North Service Area, requires Emergency Duty Workers for the community of Meadow Lake to fill a perm part-time position. The Emergency Duty Workers will be responsible for providing after-hours emergency services to families. This role will report to a Child and Family Supervisor. There are no guaranteed hours for this position. The hours will vary depending on the frequency of emergency callouts that the employee receives. • Plan and conduct interviews with individuals and families to gather and evaluate information, assess risk factors, and determine service needs. • Organize, present, and document case information clearly and accurately to support decisions and recommendations. • Assess, develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust case plans collaboratively to meet diverse client and family goals. • Identify and respond to potential safety risks, taking timely action to de-escalate crisis situations. • Access and coordinate appropriate community resources based on specific client needs. • Operate a vehicle independently across both rural and urban communities to support service delivery. You must possess a strong knowledge of human services-related policies, practices and procedures. Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a diploma or degree in a human services-related field and/or experience working in a human service setting.   The successful candidates must be legally eligible to operate a vehicle in Saskatchewan and will be required to work flexible hours.
