Engineering Manager, Egregious Abuse Protection at Google · San Jose

Manage engineering efforts to protect Google services from Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and child endangerment. Develop abuse-fighting technologies using heuristics, machine learning models, and data analysis. Partner with Google product teams to understand and mitigate how abuses manifest across their platforms. Oversee systems that detect and report CSAM instances to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to facilitate real-world rescues. Build tools that balance user trust and responsible moderation, while empowering external partners and NGOs to fight CSAM.
