About Pro Bono
Our pro bono practice was the first of its kind in Australia. We use the law to help people realise their fundamental rights and freedoms, access opportunities and challenge systems that affect their lives.
We support not-for-profit organisations working with people facing disadvantage. We are particularly known for our work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, refugees and asylum seekers, people with disability, and in human rights matters.
Our dedicated pro bono team includes eight lawyers, one special counsel and two partners. The team runs its own matters and supports lawyers across the firm to contribute to pro bono work.
We work closely with the access to justice sector, our clients and their communities across Australia. These relationships shape and inform the work we do.
