PENETRATION TESTER
Standard responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on internal and externalsystems, networks, and applications to identify securityvulnerabilities.
- Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to simulate real-worldcyber attacks, including but not limited to, network scanning, webapplication testing, and social engineering.
- Document and report findings, including detailed descriptions ofvulnerabilities, their potential impact, and recommended remediationsteps.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and address identifiedvulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends, threats, andvulnerabilities, and actively participate in knowledge sharing andtraining activities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a relatedfield.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in penetration testing or relatedcybersecurity roles.
- Proficient in at least one or more scripting languages (i.e., bash,python, PowerShell, ruby, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and attackvectors, as well as countermeasures and best practices formitigation.
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools such asMetasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark etc
- Experience employing advanced forensic tools and techniques forattack reconstruction, including dead system analysis and volatiledata collection and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability tothink creatively to identify and exploit vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with best practices frameworks such as OWASP, OSSTMM, orPTES
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, or CISSP are highlydesirable.
