Job Description
Summary: Gensler is seeking a Junior Designer - Interiors to join their project team for the design of a confidential integrated resort. The role involves supporting design directors and project architects in delivering projects, creating graphics, assembling presentations, and performing various interior design assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Support Design Directors and Project Architects with the design and delivery of projects
- Work with design teams to prepare client presentations
- Assist with 3D modeling and other responsibilities as needed
- Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation
- Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
- Assist on generating finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
- Provide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design concepts
Required Qualifications:
- 0 - 4 years of related interior design project experience
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D, Rhino, Octane, Grasshopper, and/or other modeling software programs
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
- Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop and InDesign
- Must be a team player
- Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment
- Ability to step in to assist where needed
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive vs. reactive
