Job Description
Summary: GE Vernova is seeking an early-career Instrumentation Engineer to join their global Instrumentation Engineering team. The role involves technical ownership of instrumented systems across gas turbines, generators, and balance of plant fluid systems, ensuring execution excellence through analysis, design studies, and collaboration with various engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support New Unit project execution globally, from design through customer delivery
- Work across GE Vernova's full product portfolio — Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Generator, and Balance of Plant
- Develop and review instrumentation drawings, wiring diagrams, bills of material, and technical specifications in GTCC PLM
- Develop and review wiring diagrams in EPLAN
- Manage project documentation (schematics, instrument lists, signal lists) in AVEVA
- Perform analysis and design studies for instrumented fluid systems
- Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and electrical engineering teams
- Support customer and field technical issue resolution
- Participate in design reviews and milestone discussions across the product lifecycle
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (internship, co-op, or academic project experience counts)
- Familiarity with instrumentation principles, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, or control systems
- Experience with engineering design tools, CAD software, or PLM systems
- Strong academic record in a relevant engineering discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a fast-paced global environment
- Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and across remote/global teams
