Summary: Forvis Mazars, LLP is a leading global professional services network and one of the largest public accounting firms in the United States. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience in audit or tax by working on client engagements, learning from senior staff, and developing your technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, or other tax returns
- Calculate tax extension or estimate payments
- Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers
Required Qualifications:
- Solid technical accounting knowledge
- Effective time management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with a team as well as independently
- Problem-solving attitude
- Willingness to take initiative
- Close attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines
- Intern candidates must be working toward CPA Exam eligibility
- Satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework is expected
- Interns must maintain a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0
- Must have reliable transportation to and from your assigned office and be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person
- Applicants for positions with Forvis Mazars must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Office suite
Required Skills: Technical accounting knowledge, Microsoft Office suite, CPA Exam eligibility
