The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in online sportsbook trading, risk management and sportsbook operations who wants to make a meaningful impact within a growing Irish betting business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sportsbook risk and trading activity across a range of sports and betting markets. The role will focus on protecting margin, managing liabilities, monitoring customer risk and helping maximise overall sportsbook performance.

Working closely with Trading, Customer Service, Compliance, Marketing and Management, you will help ensure the sportsbook operates efficiently while identifying opportunities to improve margin, GGY and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor sportsbook betting activity, liabilities and exposure across all major sports and markets.
• Manage customer and betting risk in line with trading strategy and business objectives.
• Review and manage pricing, odds and betting limits.
• Monitor sportsbook margin, profitability and overall trading performance.
• Identify unusual, suspicious or high-risk betting patterns and take appropriate action.
• Manage customer staking profiles and risk settings where appropriate.
• Work closely with sportsbook platforms, trading suppliers and third-party providers.
• Analyse betting data and identify opportunities to improve margin and GGY.
• Support the implementation and optimisation of trading systems and risk management tools.
• Monitor competitor pricing, promotions and market activity.
• Assist with sportsbook operations, market management and trading administration.
• Ensure appropriate controls are maintained around sportsbook risk and customer exposure.
• Work collaboratively with Customer Service, Compliance, Marketing and senior management teams.

Experience & Skills

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Previous online sportsbook trading, risk management or sportsbook operations experience. (Minimum 3 years)
• A strong understanding of sports betting markets and sportsbook trading principles.
• Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with sportsbook platforms, trading systems and risk management tools.
• The ability to analyse data and make informed trading decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of sportsbook margin, liabilities, turnover and GGY.
• A genuine interest in sport and sports betting.

Salary is competitive and negotiable based on experience

Pay: €35,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
