Job Description
The Asset Manager will be responsible for driving the end-to-end management of all Retail Asset Products within the Product Development Unit. This includes ownership of product strategy, governance, profitability, and utilization, alongside the design and execution of targeted marketing initiatives. A critical focus of the role is leading the development and enhancement of digital asset products, with strong expertise in digital lending solutions and the ability to forge and manage strategic partnerships with Fintechs and development partners. The role holder will ensure products remain competitive, compliant, and customer-centric, while embedding innovation and digital integration into the Bank’s asset portfolio.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of a first degree from a recognized university; advanced training or certification in Banking, Finance, or Digital Product Management is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Ghanaian banking landscape, with emphasis on retail asset products, digital lending, and evolving customer trends.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product management and/or business development within a banking environment.
- Hands‑on experience in sales and operations management, with proven ability to drive asset product uptake and portfolio growth.
- Demonstrated knowledge of product development cycles- from conception and design to launch, monitoring, and lifecycle optimization.
- Ability to analyze complex data, market trends, and customer behavior to make informed, commercially sound decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and customer engagement.
- Strong team‑building, coaching, and interpersonal skills to foster high‑performing product teams.
- Proven ability to collaborate with technology teams, integrate innovative digital solutions, and build partnerships with Fintechs and development partners to evolve products and deliver customer value.
- Ability to understand customer needs, preferences, and feedback to design products that enhance satisfaction.
- Detailed working knowledge of Fidelity Bank Credit Policy and operational procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure compliance across all asset products.
- Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance standards, ensuring all products adhere to legal requirements.
- Strong problem‑solving skills to address challenges related to product development, customer issues, and market shifts.
- Thorough knowledge of Fidelity Bank Retail Banking products and digital services.
- Good understanding of product profitability drivers to ensure focused analysis and sustainable growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access, with advanced Excel and database skills as an added advantage.
