The opportunity: Kick-start your career in EY Cybersecurity Consulting

Consulting at EY goes beyond what many people traditionally associate with a Big 4 firm. As part of our Consulting team, you’ll work with organisations to solve complex business and technology challenges, helping them grow, transform, and adapt in a rapidly changing world.

At EY, a career in Cybersecurity Consulting is just the beginning. From day one, you’ll have the opportunity to build a career as unique as you are, supported by EY’s global scale, inclusive culture and innovative, technology-enabled environment. You’ll be encouraged to bring your ideas, curiosity and perspective as you help organisations strengthen cyber resilience, protect critical assets, respond to evolving threats and build greater trust in the digital world.

If you’re motivated, eager to learn, and ready to take your first step into consulting, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s in it for you

• From day one, you’ll work on real client challenges as part of teams delivering meaningful outcomes.

• You’ll help organisations respond to cyber threats, strengthen resilience, improve security controls and navigate regulatory expectations, seeing the impact of your work firsthand, faster than in most traditional career paths.

• You’ll work across industries, clients and projects, gaining exposure to a broad range of cyber security and resilience topics, from cyber strategy and transformation to data protection, resilience and threat management.

• You’ll build practical experience in how organisations use technology, data and sound governance to strengthen security and support confident decision-making.

• Supported by experienced teams and continuous learning, you’ll develop the technical, analytical and consulting skills needed to help clients strengthen cyber resilience, improve governance and respond effectively to evolving risks.

• You’ll combine real client work with structured development, building your technical and consulting skills across cyber security, resilience, controls, data protection and regulatory topics.

• You’ll have the opportunity to work towards relevant professional qualifications while gaining hands-on experience on client projects.

• Our approach combines work and structured learning, including classroom sessions, online training and self‑study. Balancing study with project work can be challenging, but you’ll be supported throughout. You’ll learn alongside your cohort, building strong relationships, while experienced teams guide you at every step.

Programme overview

Helping clients understand, manage and strengthen cyber risk, resilience and trust.

We support our clients to understand and manage their cyber security risk, secure their data and systems, detect and manage their threats and vulnerabilities, and embed operational resilience. As part of the Technology Consulting team, we help organisations tackle their many security challenges, support risk-based decision making, bolster data security and cyber defences, and strengthen their ability to recover from incidents.

Additionally, we help our clients embed core regulatory requirements across operational and technology resilience, including implementing resilience programmes, performing scenario testing, conducting crisis simulations, and support across lines of defence to help firms comply with the regulations and embed resilience by design. Moreover, we help clients reduce the costs associated with managing security and resilience risks, thereby enhancing their overall risk posture.
