SALES & MARKET DEVELOPMENT • Territory Growth: Develop and execute a localized sales strategy to introduce Seed-X’s AI-powered solutions to major seed companies and vegetable breeders in the region. • Lead Generation: Proactively identify, target, and pitch new business opportunities to generate revenue and expand our market footprint. • Marketing Initiatives: Support and drive local marketing campaigns, ensuring initiatives are effectively executed, tracked, and optimized for lead generation. • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of regional market trends, competitor activity, and agricultural shifts to identify new business opportunities. REQUIREMENTS • Location: Must be based in (or able to easily commute across) the Davis, Salinas, or Sacramento, CA regions. • Mindset: A positive, proactive, and highly responsible attitude with a strong willingness to learn complex technical workflows. • Industry Expertise (Strong Plus): Direct exposure to or experience within the vegetable seed industry (e.g., seed sales, crop protection, breeding support) or the broader AgTech sector is a significant advantage. • Tech Savviness: Comfortable working with new software and AI data tools; ability to conceptually understand and pitch a highly technical, data-driven product rather than a traditional agricultural commodity. • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to interface directly with growers, plant breeders, and corporate stakeholders.
