Build the cloud platform powering the next generation of SMB operations!

Join a fast-growing SaaS company that is redefining how small and mid-sized manufacturers run their businesses. We are building an AI-enabled operations platform used by thousands of teams who rely on us to plan, produce, and deliver with confidence. With a rapidly expanding customer base, a first-mover advantage in AI for manufacturing, and a product that sits at the heart of daily operations, you will have the rare opportunity to shape an entire category.

This is a place where engineering is not a ticket-taking function - it is the product. You will work in small, high-velocity Product Engineering Squads where ideas turn into shipped capabilities in days, not quarters, and where the code you write directly impacts how real businesses operate every single day.

If you love owning problems end-to-end, thrive in small teams, and want to build modern cloud systems that blend full-stack engineering with AI-assisted development, you will thrive here.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering Squads: small, cross-functional teams that take a product area from early concept through production. Squads work directly with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to shape what gets built, own the technical design, write and test the code, and put it in front of customers.

You will work across Java/Spring Boot microservices, React frontends, and a TypeScript/Node BFF layer - contributing to our inventory platform, our new cloud manufacturing product, and the intelligent agent-based capabilities being built alongside them.

This is not a traditional engineering role. You will not be handed requirements or siloed into a narrow layer of the stack. You will define problems, design systems, write code, test thoroughly, deploy confidently, and own how your work behaves in production.

What You Will Do

Build Full-Stack Features Across the Platform

• Design and implement Java/Spring Boot microservices powering core workflows and intelligent agent-based capabilities.
• Build and evolve React interfaces within a modular, micro-frontend architecture.
• Contribute to a TypeScript/Node BFF layer that aggregates and contextualizes data from multiple services.

Shape Problems Before You Solve Them

• Work directly with product stakeholders and manufacturing experts to define what a feature needs to do.
• Ask the questions that surface edge cases, constraints, and unstated requirements.

Own Architecture and System Design

• Lead technical design for your squad's work, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and clean service boundaries.
• Influence platform architecture as the product scales.

Ship with Quality and Confidence

• Own test coverage, QA collaboration, and production behavior.
• Contribute to cloud deployments (AWS ECS/EKS), CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices.

Raise the Bar with AI-Assisted Development

• Use AI coding tools to accelerate development while applying strong judgment, review discipline, and architectural thinking.
• Identify where event-driven patterns, rule engines, or AI capabilities add clear value.

What You Bring

Required

• 5+ years of Software Engineering (backend or frontend leaning experience OK!)
• Strong expertise in Java
• Solid TypeScript experience, React preferred (but we're flexible!)
• Cloud-native experience on AWS, Docker, ECS/EKS
• Strong relational database fundamentals (Postgres, schema design, indexing, ORM)
• Experience owning services in production (CI/CD, observability, debugging)
• Ability to work effectively with AI coding tools and review outputs critically
• Ability to lead by influence and raise engineering standards

Preferred

• Node.js
• Experience with micro-frontends
• Distributed systems experience (queues, event streams, async workflows)
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities (LLM APIs, agent frameworks, MCP)
• Domain experience in warehouse management, ERP, inventory control, or manufacturing systems
• Experience working in small teams without heavy PM/project management support

Why You Will Love It Here

• Small squads with wide scope and real ownership
• High-velocity environment where you ship continuously
• AI-assisted development that amplifies engineering impact
• A cloud platform used daily by thousands of manufacturers
• Competitive compensation, flexible PTO, parental leave, 401K match
• A team that values autonomy, clarity, and craftsmanship

Benefits

• Paid Time Off: Flexible PTO with no accrual required.
• Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance: Multiple medical options, including PPO and Consumer-Driven Health Plans (CDHP), with company contributions to health savings accounts (HSAs) and full single-employee insurance coverage options.
• Retirement: 401(k) matching program.
• Family Support: Paid parental leave.
