Transform 800,000 hectares of greenhouses into fully-autonomous food production sites
At eternal.ag, we're building the future of sustainable food production. Our mission is to convert the world's existing greenhouses into fully automated facilities that can produce fresh food year-round - addressing the critical need to double food production by 2050 while facing severe labor shortages, water scarcity, and climate challenges.
About the Role
We’re looking for a freelance Arena PLM Configuration and Deployment Engineer to turn business requirements into a working, documented solution. You’ll work closely with a PLM Senior SME Consultant and an Arena PLM Solution Architect.
The initial delivery target is 4–6 weeks for the agreed scope, alongside a 16-week onboarding program running in parallel.
What You’ll Do
Configure the PLM foundation: Translate requirements into categories, attributes, numbering business rules, workflows, lifecycle phases and process statuses using supported Arena capabilities.
Configure workspaces: Establish the Sandbox template as the reference configuration. Configure workspace(s) for Testing and Training with representative data and appropriate access, and apply approved configurations to Production.
Test and deploy: Support functional and user acceptance testing, resolve issues, and deploy after technical review and release approval. Document workspace settings and verification results.
Document and hand over: Maintain configuration and administrator guidance, provide handover, and participate in onboarding and design reviews with the Solution Architect.
Who you are
Hands-on Arena PLM administration, configuration and deployment experience across multiple workspaces.
Knowledge of categories, attributes, numbering, workflows, lifecycle/status concepts and permissions.
Experience with testing and documentation, clear communication and independent delivery.
Availability for the initial scope and agreed participation throughout the 16-week program.
Bonus points if you have: Experience with BOMs, engineering change management, document control, Arena imports or integrations, and freelance consulting.
