EMR is currently looking for a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator to assist with metal recycling activities. This position will be based out of our Pensacola, FL Depot.

Responsibilities:

Operate material handler and/or excavator to move material

Complete all required daily equipment reports

Perform daily maintenance and inspection on equipment

Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Previous experience using a material handler and/or excavator a plus

Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently

Ability to work in all elements such as rain, cold, and heat

Ability to handle stressful situations, manages time, and multitasks

Ability to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening

OTHER JOB DEMANDS

While performing the essential functions of this job, the Heavy Equipment Operator will be working in a warehouse environment. The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
