Make a Difference When It Matters Most.

At Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC), we show up for pets and the people who love them on some of their hardest days.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working as part of a team, and want to make a meaningful impact every shift — this could be your place.

Who We Are

Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is proud to bring trusted emergency-only veterinary care to Southwest Michigan with the opening of EVCC Kalamazoo — our fifth location and the second in the state of Michigan.

We are committed to delivering compassionate, skilled emergency veterinary services to dogs and cats when their primary veterinarian is closed.

Currently, EVCC Kalamazoo is open:

• 24 hours from Thursday at 7 AM through Tuesdays at 7 PM * We are expanding our hours in November!*

• Including all holidays that fall within that timeframe

Our #1 goal is to expand to 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring pets always have access to lifesaving treatment — weekend or not.

But what truly defines EVCC isn’t just what we do — it’s how we do it.

WE

• Lead with compassion
• Respect and elevate our technicians
• Support each other without ego
• Communicate openly and professionally
• Recognize that emergency medicine is demanding — and take care of our team because of it

What Life Is Like at EVCC

We genuinely care about whoever walks through our doors — whether it’s a critical patient, an anxious pet parent, or a teammate who needs support during a tough shift.

Emergency medicine is intense. It’s emotional. It’s unpredictable.

But it’s also deeply meaningful.

You won’t be “just an assistant” here. Your assessment skills, instincts, and voice matter. Our doctors value collaboration. Our leadership team listens. Growth is encouraged, not gatekept.
