Lyra Education is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Computer Science Tutor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge and experience teaching higher-secondary students across IGCSE, American, and IB curricula.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured, and interactive Computer Science lessons to higher-secondary students.
• Teach according to the requirements and learning objectives of IGCSE, American, and IB Computer Science.
• Help students develop a strong understanding of programming, computational thinking, algorithms, and computer systems.
• Prepare students for examinations, coursework, internal assessments, assignments, and projects.
• Provide practical programming support and guide students through coding exercises and projects.
• Develop personalised lesson plans based on each student's academic level and learning goals.
• Support students with exam techniques, problem-solving, pseudocode, programming logic, and computational thinking.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.
• Adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain a professional, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Education, or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching Computer Science / ICT / Computer Studies at higher-secondary or high-school level.
• Strong familiarity with IGCSE, American, and IB Computer Science curricula.
• Good knowledge of programming and computational concepts.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar is preferred.
• Experience preparing students for international curriculum examinations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and in a student-friendly manner.
• Previous tutoring or international-school teaching experience is preferred.

Working Hours

• Weekdays: Evening sessions, generally after 4:00 PM.
• Weekends: Morning availability required.
• Flexible working hours depending on student schedules and tutor availability.
