Job Description
Summary: Dewberry is currently seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join our Transportation Group. This position offers tremendous potential for professional growth and the opportunity to apply the latest technology to help clients solve challenging problems in traffic engineering.
Responsibilities:
- The individual will have the opportunity to work under the direction of the licensed professional engineer on all facets of traffic engineering to include design and studies related to traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, work zone traffic control, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Connected and Autonomous (CAV) vehicle technology, roadway lighting, traffic operational analyses, and safety analyses
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering required, with emphasis in transportation
- Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship experience preferred
